Linda, Jerusalem Sage is such a wonderful plant. I just love it! Unfortunately, it is one of those plants I can never get to grow. I think it hates Houston’s heat and humidity. Last year, I tried it in a pot, but it still just melted. Please post more photos as it blooms, so I can live vicariously!
The butterflies and bees like it. So do hummers. We didn't have many blooms last year, so can't remember just how much they liked it. Guess this year, we'll see. One of our neighbors...who does NOTHING to her yard....has a huge one in front of her house. It lasted last summer with NO water, I'm sure. She believes in 'Texas Natural'. :)

Welcome to this patchwork of gardens, birds, and critters....friends and family....among the deer and limestone. Thanks for stopping by.

ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me of this plant. GREAT drought-tolerance, deer don't eat it and lovely blooms.
ReplyDeleteDoes it attract butterflies/bees?
