UGH.....it is hot! I have been giving the birds water, too. Seems like I am always adding water to cool it off and it evaporates so quickly. Try to stay cool...indoors.
Been there, done that many years ago - we went from hot summers to cool, short summers in 2003...this summer the closest to average in 7 years. But not the normal monsoon season.
I hope your area and I get some good soaking rains for sure! It is wild watching birds stay in the shade so much, esp some of the tougher birds doing that...wow!
Oh Linda that heat is terrible. Makes our 90's seem cool in comparison. I have been keeping the birdbaths full and the feeders. The animals and birds are having it tough too. Try to stay cool.
Just popping in to say hello from Bronte Country (Yorkshire, England). Fabulous shots of the birdbath... you must be have stayed still as a statue to get those! I was feeling miserable about being unable to garden in the heavy summer showers that are soaking everything outside today, but I feel a bit guilty now, with you all suffering so much in the heat. Hope you get some cooler weather soon :-) Jane Gray

Welcome to this patchwork of gardens, birds, and critters....friends and family....among the deer and limestone. Thanks for stopping by.
Texas is really hot this summer. Try to stay cool. Love the bird in the birdbath in your previous post.

ReplyDeleteSo true -- all the birds are panting like hot puppies. Poor dears! When will it end?
