A Little Relief....

We lucked out yesterday.  We got a little more than a quarter inch of glorious rain.
The last storm that blew through only gave us noise, lightning and wind.
Dry lightning has been blamed for yet another large wildfire.  We don't need that.

Today it feels a bit more like fall.  A 'cold' front has blown in.

The weather forecasters say this could mean the end of the triple digit temperatures.  Let's all hope they've got it right.
Three full months of this heat has been ENOUGH!

I hope some of you got rain, too....although it was a bit patchy.

Maybe things are looking up.

Have a great weekend.

Happy Gardening...

  1. I'm loving the cooler temps. Even if it is just a couple of degrees lower - I'll take it. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

  2. Glad for your cooling and rain! We only got the cool part; no rain and even more sun. What a difference just a light but soaking 1/4" rain makes!

  3. .15" here - but it was an exciting storm.

  4. So happy you got some relief. It seems as if we might really get some fall weather soon. I sure hope so.

  5. When I read this post, I KNEW you had to be from Texas as well. Lol! (I'm in the Spring/Conroe/Woodlands area).

I'm glad you received some rain. I know it isn't enough, but it's nice while it lasts. I will never take rain for granted again. ;o)
