HHG, It is a high dome. I took this from the second or third floor...can't remember. It's awsome, though. You look down into the rotunda and the Republic of Texas seal on the ground floor.
Amy, The Capitol is a great place to visit. It was the culmination of 'The Great LBJ Tour', I did with a couple of my granddaughters this year. The capitol and the LBJ Library brought us to the end. I think they learned something. Hope so, anyway.

Welcome to this patchwork of gardens, birds, and critters....friends and family....among the deer and limestone. Thanks for stopping by.
Nice!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, love the star :)
ReplyDeleteCaroline,
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Catherine,
The Lone Star is our state symbol. It is everywhere in the capitol. This is a beautiful building, too.
Oh, how pretty and what a high dome. The star works of course. One can almost get a kink in the neck just looking at that picture ;-)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty.
