Happy Friday....

And....Happy March 1st.

OK...I know you've heard me say this time and time again, but...
where does the time go?

Today dawned clear and fact, 24F cold.

I showed you another moon, just like the one above,
a month ago, today.

We had a full week....

We had a sunset party, at Driftwood Estate Winery.

The night before, a sad thing happened in Wimberley.
The Ace Hardware burned down.

A complete loss.  Nobody was hurt.
But, thirty-four people will be out of work, for a while.

We have Longhorn Baseball tickets.
So, we took in some games.
Do you know there are thirty-one home games?

Nice car, in the parking lot.

We had a very windy Monday.  Gusts up to 55 mph, here.
Now....lots of clean-up.

Thankfully, those winds didn't come the night of the Ace fire.

That same system, brought a second snow storm, to our Kansas kids.
Lots more snow and strong winds.

Our daughter sent these pictures.  As she said, "Nature made her own snowballs."
The wind blew that hard!

And, we spent some time here.  Locals will recognize this garden center on
South Congress.

Now....more garden work is under way here.
Stay tuned...

It never ends.

Hope you had a great week.
And, have a wonderful weekend.

Happy Gardening...

  1. When I look back at each month in winter, they have gone by really fast. However each day as I'm waiting for spring to arrive, it seems like it will never get here. The car in the parking lot is definitely one of a kind!

  2. Ace - awwww! Very tragic for us small-towners! I do recognize that nursery; haven't visited in a while!

  3. Ah yes, I do recognize that nursery. It's one of my favorite, go-to stores.

  4. I hate the wind. The snowball picture is funny, if you're not the one in it! Sorry to hear about the Ace Hardware. Not only lost jobs, but a lot of people will have to drive farther for the things they sell. Love the Texas pride in that car!

  5. A belated Happy Friday, and some fun activities - except your windstorm and especially that Kansas blizzard. Never have seen snowballs like that form from wind, usually drifts - wild!

  6. We just had some snow, too, and my rain garden is full of water. :o) The sunset party at the winery looks wonderful. Happy spring!
