In the Pink...

Looking at these blooms, seems I tend toward PINK.

That's OK.  It's a happy color.

And, we still have a few more weeks left of summer-type blooms.

We're getting some blessed rain today.  It is sorely needed.

Cooler weather....water from Heaven....what more can we ask?

LIFE IS GOOD!

Friday, Again....

Is it just me?  Or, is this year passing by pretty fast?

It's Friday...again.

We've spent the week trying to keep things alive.  No rain.  Cool mornings, but HOT afternoons.

But, a 'cold front' is on the way.  Lower temps for next week.

We won't need sweaters.  But, we'll always take what we can get.

A week ago, we were at the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center.

The American Beautyberry was putting on a show.

I'd really like to have one of these.  

Hmmmm....what will I have to move?

It has to be inside the fence.

Busy plans for the weekend.  Seems sports take over our lives, this time of year.

Hope that cold front gets here soon.

Signs of Fall....

As predicted...the heat returned this last week.

Not many triple digit days, but the humidity was BAD.

Despite that, Mr. P and I took a little trip over to the 

Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center.

Seems more than heat has returned.

The banks of Gregg's Mistflower were swarming with Monarch Butterflies.

They seemed to be ignoring any other blooms.

A beautiful sight.  And, worth enduring the hot, humid morning.
