We finally got some good rain. The most since June.
We got almost three inches here. Most of it was in the middle of the night. So, although I did get up to look at it, there were no photos of the glorious water falling from the sky.
It rained VERY hard, for about thirty minutes. Then eased off to a nice steady rain.
You can almost hear the trees sigh in relief.
It will take much more than one good rain, to bring things back from this. Some of it will not be coming back. More hardscape is in the plans for the future.
But, for now, we'll rejoice in what we got.
I hope you got what you needed, too.
Happy Gardening...
~~Linda~~
It is truly amazing how much faster plants respond to a soaking rain over a soaking irrigation system! Glad for both of us getting a real rainfall...
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that you are getting some much needed rain Linda. Too bad it was not a lot sooner.
ReplyDeleteYes, us too. We got rain yesterday, for practically ALL DAY! (I can't remember the last time that happened, as even the little rainfalls have been completely passing us up for months). I still can't believe it. The birdies were happy, as they were sitting in it and flying around and singing so sweet the entire time. I wish I had taken video of them all.

ReplyDeleteIt IS so amazing how much better the plants...and animals...like water from Heaven!
ReplyDeleteLet's hope more finds us soon.
2.8" over here - and this morning I see a haze of green out in the yard!
ReplyDeleteOh, yes!! It was so joyful! Glad to hear you got so much. We got about half that but I'm not complaining. Every drop counts! Hope you're enjoying these beautiful days!
